FOUNDATION STAGE UNIT - CLASS 1

Class 1 are reception children, part of our foundation stage unit, currently taught by Mrs Mrs. Turner and Mrs. Tempest. We have two classroom assistants in our class, Mrs Crouch and Mrs Bosley.  We love learning both indoors and outdoors in our outdoor classroom.

We follow the curriculum guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Work is planned across seven areas of learning:
 • Personal, social and emotional development
 • Communication and language
 • Physical development
 • Literacy
 • Mathematics
 • Understanding the world
 • Expressive arts and design

We work on topics and themes, which provides learning opportunities through lots of interesting activities and investigations.

Little Wandle Pronunciation Guide Aut 22

The video below shows you how to pronounce the sounds for Autumn 1. Notice how the children don’t add an ‘uh’ sound at the end, so they say: ‘t’ not ‘tuh’
