Sandford School is a friendly and welcoming school where children, parents, staff and governors work together to help every pupil succeed and reach their full potential. Situated just two miles north of Crediton, Sandford School is surrounded by the beautiful rolling hills of Mid Devon. Our unique Grade II listed building, alongside our more modern facilities, is set within extensive grounds with stunning views across the surrounding countryside.

We provide education for children aged 4–11, alongside Early Years provision for children from the age of two. The school has four classes, including our Nursery class, and welcomes children from both within and beyond our catchment area. As part of the Exe Valley Federation, we work closely with our other local village schools to secure the best possible outcomes for all our pupils.

Our engaging curriculum reflects the unique character and rural setting of our school. Our inspirational and knowledgeable staff provide meaningful learning experiences within a safe, supportive environment where every child is encouraged to flourish. Experiential learning plays an important role in our approach, with children encouraged to learn through exploration, curiosity and appropriate challenge.

Our wraparound care, Sunflowers, is open every morning from 7:45am and every afternoon until 5:45pm. All children, including those in Nursery, are welcome to attend, with places available to book through the school office. We also offer a free breakfast club from 8:25am each day.
