Welcome to

Whimple Primary School

Whimple Primary School aspires to be a safe environment at the heart of the community where everyone is valued, and which encourages all the children to achieve their potential whilst being caring and aware of the wider world around them. We are part of the Exe Valley Federation (East Hub).

Whimple is a popular village in East Devon, about nine miles from Exeter, with easy access to the airport and the M5 motorway. We are just off the A30 and have a railway station with a good service to London (Waterloo) and Exeter. The village has a friendly and thriving community with a local shop, Post Office, Parish Church, Heritage Centre, unisex hairdresser and two pubs.

The school is set in the heart of the village, next door to the village hall which we use daily for PE, assembly and lunches. The pre-school also meets in a room at the back of the hall, enabling us to have a close working relationship which in turn ensures a smooth transition into school.

A short walk away is our Orchard Site which comprises of a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) and our Forest School area amongst the apple trees.

Our website is continually being updated and we hope you find it useful and informative.

If you want to discuss a place for your child or would like to visit please contact our administrator Mrs Caroline Rowe on 01404 822584.
