Home Learning
We encourage children to practise key skills at home each week.
Reading
We ask that children read at home at least 3 times a week to support their decoding skills, fluency and overall confidence. Please record any reading that you do at home in your child's reading log.
Maths/ Number Facts
We encourage children to practise key number facts at home each week.
In Reception and Key Stage 1, your child can access NumBots to support the development of key number facts in an interactive way. Please ask your child's class teacher for their login details.
In Key Stage 2, it is important for many aspects of mathematics that children are fluent in their times tables facts. We encourage children to practise this at home using the Times Tables Rock Stars website. We keep a track of the children's progress and increasing speed in school via the website.
Pick and Mix Homework
Each term, we send home a 'pick and mix' homework sheet for each class. This contains homework ideas for each of the topics that we are learning about in school that term. We encourage you to select from these tasks and complete one at home each week.
