Oak Trip to Thornes

Dear Parents and Carers,

As part of our Design and Technology topic, Eating Seasonally, we are excited to offer the children a trip to Thorne’s Farm Shop for a strawberry picking experience on Tuesday 15th July.

During the visit, children will have the opportunity to pick their own strawberries and learn more about seasonal produce and how it is grown. The cost of the trip is £2.50, which includes a small punnet of strawberries that the children will pick and take home or eat.

Important Information:

Children should come to school in normal school uniform.
Please ensure they bring a sun hat and wear sun cream if the weather is sunny, or a raincoat if rain is forecast.
Children being dropped off should arrive at Thorne’s Farm Shop at 9:00am, where a member of staff will meet them.
Children travelling by bus will be accompanied to the farm by school staff.
Children will be transported back to school by staff.
